Donation of four Abbot Pain Manager Pumps

Dear Mr Jones

On behalf of the Sydney Children�s Hospital Pain Service I would like to thank you for your most generous donation of the four Abbot Pain Manager Pumps. These pumps are very welcome as some of our current equipment has reached the end of its functional life. As a result, your donation will be put to very good and immediate use.

I have already met with the representatives of the Abbot company to arrange an education plan for our health professionals � primarily the nurses, such that everyone understands the pumps mechanism of action. Initially the SCH Pain Service will begin using these pumps on children having Continuous Epidural Infusions after surgery.

Dr Matthew Crawford the SCH Director of Anaesthetics and Pain Service was absolutely thrilled when I informed him of the donation and also wishes to convey his sincere thanks to you. It is often the only way services like ours can manage to keep improving our techniques and thus offer the best we can for the children in pain.
